Project Overview
At Granville and 44th, Enactpro Contracting Ltd. helped deliver a new six-unit residential building in Vancouver. The design pairs a classic craftsman-style front building with modern infill units at the back. We handled the exterior envelope finishes, the landscaping, and the interior finishing work that gives each home its clean, modern feel.
Key Features of the Project
- Exterior Siding & Metal Cladding
We installed white shingle siding on the craftsman-style front building and black and white standing-seam metal cladding on the rear units. The result is a sharp, high-contrast look that holds up well in Vancouver’s climate. - Landscaping
We planted the courtyards and walkways with layered greenery, columnar trees and raised planters. The landscaping softens the modern lines and gives every unit a welcoming entry. - Drywall & Paint
We completed drywall throughout all six units, including vaulted ceilings and skylight wells, with smooth finishes ready for paint. We also painted all walls, ceilings, trim and doors for a bright, consistent finish. - Finish Carpentry
Our work includes trim, doors and hardware, built-in white oak shelving with a floor-to-ceiling feature wall, and floating shelves in the bathrooms. Every detail was fitted with care. - Custom Cabinetry
We built and installed custom kitchen cabinetry with flat-panel fronts, a two-tone layout and a waterfall island. In the bathrooms, we built custom vanities that pair warm wood with matte black fixtures.
The Challenge
The project combined two very different looks on one city lot: a traditional craftsman-style building facing Granville and modern metal-clad infill units behind it. Our crew had to make both read as one development. That meant clean transitions between shingle siding and standing-seam cladding, finishes that stay consistent across six separate homes, and landscaping that ties the courtyard together. All of it happened on a tight Vancouver site alongside the other trades.
Outcome & Impact
The Granville Street Six-Plex adds six modern, move-in-ready homes to one of Vancouver’s established neighbourhoods. With a durable exterior, thoughtful landscaping and carefully finished interiors, the project shows how Enactpro brings craftsmanship and attention to detail to Vancouver’s growing multiplex housing.
